Spurs beat Rangers 2-1 in a pre-season friendly at historic Ibrox Stadium. Although the Rangers took the first lead in the Walter Tull Memorial Cup match, Tottenham wins 2-1 with Harry Kane‘s quickfire double scoring. Spurs recently completed a tour of South Korea, where they defeated local side Team K League 6-3 and drew 1-1 with La Liga outfit Sevilla as part of the Coupang Play Series, and continued their winning ways in Govan.

It has been a good game for Tottenham Hotspur. This was the first opportunity to see Tottenham new signings Ivan Perisic, Clement Lenglet, Yves Bissouma, and Djed Spence.

In the 24th minute of the first half, Rangers took the lead with Antonio Colak scoring his first goal. But Harry Kane Leveled the score with a fantastic goal in five minutes of the second half. And in the 56th minute, Kane’s second goal was just as good. Vintange combo between Son and Kane who fired home again to ensure Spurs remain unbeaten this summer. Such was Kane’s perfect performance, he was applauded off by the Ibrox crowd while substituted.

Tottenham’s six new signings were involved as substitutes, with Bissouma the first to appear at the start of the second half. In the 60th minute, Perisic and Richarlison joined the game combining well in added time, with the Croatian crossing from the left only for the Brazilian to head over the bar.

Forster, Lenglet and Spence were all given 20 minutes, The latter made an instant impact defensively as he made an important tackle to cut out a dangerous Rangers move.

Rangers substitute James Sands missed the home side’s best chance to equalize late on as he headed straight at ex-Celtic goalkeeper Fraser Forster. Then he was booed by the home crowd on his Spurs debut as he replaced Hugo Lloris in the second half. It is Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side’s only defeat of pre-season.
