Tottenham Hotspur have set new discussions with AS Roma for the future of Nicolo Zaniolo, According to Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna.
Spurs have long been linked with a move to sign Zaniolo from Roma, and those rumors have intensified over the last few weeks. The 23-year-old joined Roma from Inter in 2018, with his contract expiring in 2024. The young Italian attacker has scored 28 goals for the Giallorossi in a total of 111 appearances.
Zaniolo is a versatile player. He can play as a winger, attacking midfielder and as a second striker, and on occasions appearing in central midfield. Poland great Zbigniew Boniek recently claimed that Zaniolo has the potential to become an even better striker than Dusan Vlahovic.

A french journalist confirmed that new discussions are taking place for Zaniolo. However, it remains to be seen how the discussion goes between the two sides. The 23-year-old is not in Mourinho’s plan for Roma-with Pellegrini taking up the role of supporting Tammy Abraham and Dybala in attack.
Spurs director Paratici, who has been a fan of the midfielder for years now, is set to hold talks over a potential move. And Conte already signed a versatile forward, Dejan Kulusevski from Serie A, and he has turned out to be a hit. We would hope that Zaniolo is the same, if Spurs could complete his move this summer.
