Fulham and Lazio are in talks with Tottenham Hotspur over a loan move for Sergio Reguilon.

With less than one week left before the summer transfer window closed, One of the biggest question revolves around the status of Sergio Reguilon, who is not part of Antonio Conte’s plans. Spurs were hoping to sell him permanently, but are now open to a loan due to limited time left.

The 25-year-old left-back joined Spurs in 2020 as a high-profile signing from Real Madrid where he came through the youth set-up.

Reguilon has played 67 times for Spurs, but has failed to live up to expectations in north London. He is not currently part of boss Antonio Conte’s plans.

He did not feature in the club’s pre-season tour and has not been in any of the side’s matchday squads so far this season.

Ryan Sessegnon and summer signing Ivan Perisic are both ahead of him in the pecking order, and his future at Spurs looks pretty uncertain.

Reguilon knows well that he needs more playing time to have a chance of taking part in World Cup 2022 in Qatar this year.

Lazio’s offer for Reguilon would include an option to make the loan move permanent-while the Whites are only exploring a loan at this stage.

Fulham have been active in the transfer window this summer, signing Joao Palinha, Andreas Pereira, Kevin Mbabu, Bernd Leno and Issa Diop permanently at first-team level. They have also made Manor Solomon and Shane Duffy on loan spells.
