According to the report, Sergio Reguilon prefers a move to Lazio over Nottingham Forest and has put talks with Nottingham Forest on hold as he wanted to play in Serie A.

Although Reguilon has a promising start to life in north London, he has failed to impress at wing-back. The Spanish defender is not in Antonio Conte’s plans in North London. The full-back has been training away from Conte’s first team, while managing director of football Fabio Paratici continues to work on finding him a new destination before next week’s transfer deadline. Reguilon has three years left in his contract with Tottenham. He has played 67 games and scored two goals in North London.

Earlier this week, Lazio has reportedly showed interest in Reguilon. But they are facing fierce competition from Premier League new boys Nottingham Forest.

However, according to Italian daily, Reguilon prefers joining Lazio over the Forest this summer, and is not regarding the proposal from Steve Cooper’s side as his priority option.

Reguilon shows great interest in playing in Serie A this season and also wants regular game time as he has ambitions to earn a spot in the Spain squad for the upcoming World Cup.

With Spurs making great efforts to balance their books and trim the squad, it remains to be seen who among Reguilon’s potential suitors will win the race for his signature.
