Barcelona Ready offer Memphis Depay swap for Sergio Reguilon

Tottenham have been reportedly offered Barcelona forward Memphis Depay in a swap deal for Sergio Reguilon.

Reguilon joined Tottenham in 2020 from Real Madrid. The 25-year-old has blown hot and cold at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with scoring 2 goals and 9 assists in all 67 appearances for Spurs. Reguilon is not in Antonio Conte’s plans, especially after Tottenham secured the services of Ivan Perisic in a Bosman move. Such a situation has captured the attention of Barcelona.

According to reports, the Blaugrana are planning to make an offer to Tottenham for Sergio Reguilon.

Since they are not interested in spending much more on summer transfers, they are looking at doing a straight swap. The Catalan giants are keen to shed Depay’s wages from their salary bill, as he is down the pecking order under manager Xavi Hernandez this season. Depay, 28, is out of contract next summer and so Barca will be keen to try and get something in return before he leaves on a free.

Antonio Conte does not have a place for Reguilon in his plans, but they may prefer to get a transfer fee for him.

Until now, no reports show what Tottenham Hotspur think of this deal. So there is a long way to go before a swap deal is agreed between the two clubs.
