Bayern Munich ask Harry Kane to hold off signing new contract with Tottenham Hotspur

According to the report, Bayern Munich have told Harry Kane to hold off signing a new contract at Spurs since they plan a transfer for the England captain.

The 29-year-old has scored five goals in six Premier League games to kick off the 2022-23 league season. Then Spurs begin their Champions League at home to Marseille on Wednesday.

Kane has 188 career Premier League goals, and has been hotly tipped to come close to, or even eclipse, Alan Shearer’s record of 260 goals.

With 73 international caps and 50 goals at national side, he is regarded as a forever legend in England, but with a distinct lack of silverware up until this point, it seems reasonable to wonder how much longer he will remain content at Tottenham.

Kane’s contract at Tottenham runs until 2024. The German giants show great interest in England and Tottenham Hotspur’s star Harry Kane and plan to make a move for him.

Bayern were interested in Kane this summer, as a replacement for Robert Lewandowski, but the move did not work.

Although Julian Nagelsmann has a lot of firepower in their squad, they don’t have an out-and-out striker at the Allianz Arena. So Kane would fit into their plans, but it remains to be seen if he will be interested in joining the German giants in 2023.

Up till now, the only pity in Kane’s stellar career is a lack of serious silverware, and Bayern Munich are perennial winners on the national and European level.

Bayern hasn’t lost a game this season, and no Bundesliga team has scored more than their 17 goals.

However, Antonio Conte are rebuilding their squad and aiming to get more glory themselves, so the London club will be eager to keep hold of the England captain.
