Tottenham target Jesse Lingard Moving to MLS ‘Ruled Out’

Reports sugguest that Jesse Lingard is expected to take a decision his future by the weekend. Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with the Englishman, but there are another three Premier League teams(West Ham United, Everton, and Nottingham Forest) all circling him.

Source added that Lingard has an offer on the table from a club in Saudi Arabia, but a move to MLS has been ‘ruled out’.

He Has been on the Red Devils’ books throughout the duration of his senior playing career and a final decision about his next move is expected before the weekend.

West Ham are keen to sign Lingard after a successful loan spell at the London Stadium at the end of the 2020-21 season. He scored nine goals in 16 games for David Moyes‘ side to earn a place in England’s preliminary squad ahead of the European Championships.

Everton manager Frank Lampard is looking to rebuild his squad at Goodison Park after flirting with relegation last season and is keen to bring in Lingard.

Spurs have made several signings this summer, but none have been natural attacking midfielders so far. Richarlison is expected to play as a striker while Yves Bissouma is a central midfielder. Tottenham have also expressed their interest in signing the former Manchester United midfielder.

The 29-year-old is a free agent after his contract with Manchester United expired at the end of June. He has been training alone during the summer break and will decide his next destination.
